Jewelry Care
Mandy Wu jewelry is created with the finest materials available. Any variation in color or slight deficiency is a result of the handmade nature of these pieces. We recommend the following measures to help maximize the lifetime of your jewelry.
- Avoid spraying alcohol or oil-based products such as body lotions, perfume or hairspray on/near the jewelry. The chemicals can dull stones and cause rapid tarnishing. Hence, it is best to put jewelry on last when you are getting dressed.
- Avoid exposing jewelry to extreme heat or direct sunlight over long periods of time. This may cause colors to fade.
- Always remove jewelry prior to contact with water such as when washing hands, showering, or swimming. Chemicals involved in such activities not only can cause stones to become dull and loose, they’ll also encourage tarnishing of jewelry parts.
- Jewelry storage is also important. We recommend storing your jewelry in sealed bags provided to slow the process of oxidation of gold and silver elements. The bag contains an anti-tarnish strip.
- When cleaning your jewelry, use a soft silver polishing cloth. Do not clean pearls or stones with chemicals. Also, do not submerge the jewelry in cleaning solution or water.
Jewelry Repair
We repair jewelry free of charge within 30 days of purchase from MANDYWU.COM. After 30 days, repairs are subjected to a minimum fee of EUR$5.00 per item (exclusive of shipping costs), depending on the availability of materials/type of materials and degree of repair. Please email us the information regarding the damage and we will provide you a quotation of the repair fee.
